OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY INTERVENTION

Occupational therapists are practical problem-solvers. We analyze what a person needs to do and remove barriers to get them there. Our training includes human development, kinesiology, psychology, and neuroscience.

But Acceptance OT goes further: we believe that collaboration, respect, and play support learning and growth. At our clinic, your child engages in the "work" of play to build developmental skills, participate in their community, and meet their own goals. Caregivers are always included in the therapy process for best possible outcomes for your child.

AYRES SENSORY INTEGRATION® EVALUATION

Are you seeking information about your child/teen's unique sensory processing needs? Our clinic offers comprehensive testing in Sensory Integration (Evaluation in Ayres Sensory Integration®) to provide invaluable information about body awareness, coordination, motor planning (praxis as in "dyspraxia"), touch and movement perception, visual and fine motor skills, and sensory sensitivities.

These challenges impact everyday life such as motor skills, learning new skills, emotional regulation, and engaging in routines. This testing enables the OT to find targeted solutions for these everyday challenges.

TELEHEALTH

If you cannot travel to our clinic in Thurston County, services can come to you virtually through video conferencing. This can be beneficial for clients who cannot travel, teens and young adults, and parent coaching. Clients must be located in Washington State to receive this service.
